About Us
Guns n Hoses Pipes n Drums was created in September 2011 by a few pipers and drummers who had performed at Police and Fire Funerals and wanted to organize a volunteer group here in SW Florida to support such events. The members came from several local bands as well as individual players. Our members are from all over the US, Canada, and other countries around the world. There are active and retired Law Enforcement Officers, Fire Fighters, Military Veterans, EMS, and Patriots who wish to put their support behind these service organizations.
We are a ceremonial service band. As such we play a limited repertoire. What we do, we do very well.
The Founders of Guns n Hoses Pipes n Drums insisted the members maintain proper decorum and respect befitting the circumstances of our performance; “Remember for what we are here .” Any member can introduce a request for a performance. All requests are submitted for review by one of our CONTACTS who make notifications and advise availability. All performances are voluntary.
We offer free instruction. Those wishing to join the band as students, pipers, or drummers please see the Piping School or Drummer's School pages.
